About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Community Engagement Coordinator to join our Transition to Work (TtW) program in Melbourne’s North-Western suburbs and the Barwon region, on a full-time permanent basis. This role comes with a fully maintained company vehicle.

Reporting to the Barwon Site Manager, this role is central to strengthening community connections, expanding employer partnerships, and promoting the TtW program to schools, community organisations and industry stakeholders.

You will play a key role in driving referrals, supporting sustainable employment outcomes for young people aged 15–24, and contributing to the ongoing growth and viability of the program.

You’ll be Responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with employers, schools, training providers and community organisations
  • Promoting the TtW program through marketing, networking events, expos and community engagement activities
  • Supporting achievement of employment and referral targets in line with funding agreements
  • Monitoring labour market trends and identifying new business and growth opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and ensuring compliance with contractual and reporting requirements
  • Advocating for participants and facilitating quality job matches

About You

You’re a relationship-driven business developer who is passionate about improving outcomes for young people. You combine strong commercial acumen with a genuine commitment to person-centred service delivery.

You will bring:

  • Experience in employment services, workforce programs or other government-funded programs
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding placement or engagement targets
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of local labour markets and community needs
  • A Certificate IV or higher in Community Services or a related discipline
  • Sound understanding of compliance, reporting and quality management systems
  • High-level communication skills and the ability to work across diverse community and corporate settings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence using CRM systems
  • A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)

Bonus points if you have:

  • Direct experience within the Transition to Work or broader employment services sector
  • Experience supporting young people with multiple barriers to employment
  • Demonstrated creativity in developing innovative engagement strategies
