not-for-profit empowering individuals with services, support, programs, and

independence.
At Opendoor, we are committed to creating opportunities that empower
individuals and strengthen our communities. Each year, we help thousands of

About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and
analytical Revenue Assurance & Claims Control Officer to join our Finance
team and play a critical role in protecting the integrity, accuracy, and
compliance of claims, payments, and recoveries across the organisation.
This role is responsible for strengthening financial controls, monitoring
expenditure, identifying risks and revenue leakage, and supporting audit-ready
claims management practices across employment and community service programs.
Working closely with Claims, Finance, Operations, and Risk & Assurance
teams, you will provide valuable oversight, reporting, and control monitoring
to support informed decision-making and strong governance outcomes.
Initially, the role will focus on employment programs including Workforce
Australia Services and Transition to Work, with future scope to support broader
revenue assurance activities across Opendoor.
You’ll be Responsible for:
- Reviewing claims, payments, and disbursements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with funding agreements and Departmental guidelines
- Performing pre-submission validation and post-payment assurance reviews to identify errors, anomalies, and financial risks
- Monitoring participant expenditure against approved budgets and contractual limits
- Producing exception reporting, reconciliations, and revenue assurance reports to support operational and financial oversight
- Investigating discrepancies, overpayments, and revenue leakage, and coordinating recovery actions where required
- Supporting audit readiness by maintaining accurate records and compliant supporting documentation
- Identifying process improvements and strengthening financial controls, workflows, and assurance practices
- Providing practical guidance and support to internal stakeholders regarding claims compliance, funding rules, and financial risk management
About You
You’re highly organised, analytical, and
naturally curious, with a strong eye for detail and a proactive approach to
identifying risks and improving processes.
You enjoy working with data, systems, and financial controls, while also
building strong working relationships across teams to achieve high-quality and
compliant outcomes.
You will bring:
- Experience working in finance, claims, compliance, revenue assurance, or a similar environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, trends, and risks
- Understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, compliance, and audit requirements
- Experience reviewing claims, payments, or financial transactions in a high-volume environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear and practical guidance
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and accountability
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience within employment services, community services, disability, or government-funded programs
- Knowledge of Workforce Australia Services, Transition to Work, or Employment Fund guidelines
- Experience using financial systems, claims platforms, or reporting tools
- Exposure to audit, risk, or assurance environments
